Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to the next level by supporting students during a vital maternity leave coverage. This contract opportunity runs from August 4 to October 3, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. You'll make a meaningful impact in a welcoming school environment near Madison, TN, with a focus on pediatric therapy.
Key Qualifications:
Current SLP licensure or eligibility in the state Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted Experience with pediatric or school-based speech therapy preferred Strong understanding of therapy for speech, language, and communication needs Ability to manage a diverse caseload and collaborate with educators, families, and staff Skilled in creating and implementing effective IEPs for students Excellent communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech, language, and communication therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs Evaluate students using standardized assessments and interpret results Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals for each student Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required Consult with teachers and parents to suggest strategies that support student success Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to support student development and achievement Foster a positive, inclusive environment that empowers students to reach their communication potential This contract SLP role offers a rewarding chance to work alongside passionate professionals, gain valuable school-based experience, and make a difference during a critical period for both students and the department.
