Job Description
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to children 2-12 years of age in the areas of speech, language, social communication, voice, fluency, apraxia, articulation, and/or feeding and swallowing disorders Administer formal and informal speech and language evaluations and clinical feeding and swallowing evaluations to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Ability to effectively collaborate with caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to develop plans of care that maximize a learner's success Develop and monitor learners' communication goals/programs and adjust programs/interventions accordingly Write reports and maintain proper, accurate documentation such as SOAP notes, caseload information, initial and re-evaluations, progress reports, discharge summaries, and home exercise programs Educate families in regular caregiver trainings on skills and techniques to carryover into the home setting to promote increased functional communication Maintain all documentation as dictated by state and funder guidelines complying with HIPAA regulations Adhere to frequency, duration and appropriate treatment guidelines Provide alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) evaluations and program/maintain different speech generating devices for children Trains and educates BCBAs and RBTs/team members in the implementation of communication programs, and AAC speech generating devices/assistive technology Enhance clinical expertise, professional skills, and leadership skills through collaboration with leadership team, other clinicians, self-study, and continuing education activities Maintain professional competencies and technical skills in the area of speech language pathology to uphold essential job functions Uphold board and state licensure in line with ethical expectations for speech language pathology Requirements toSucceed:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university Must hold valid license (or in the process of obtaining a license) issued by the state in which services are provided Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) New grads are welcome! Experience with children with autism and other comorbidities preferred Feeding therapy experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers certification preferred Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) experience preferred Desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment to provide exceptional services to our children and families Must be aligned withJoybridge Kids' Core Values:
