SLP - Speech Language Pathologist

Qualifications and Skills Qualifications Valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license. Current CPR certification. Education and Experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Skills Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on objective data. Strong communication skills for family and interdisciplinary team coordination. Proficiency in documenting clinical progress and medical necessity.

Pay, Schedule and Benefits Pay:

$50-55 Depending on experience

Full-time, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Create and implement personalized therapy plans for short-term rehab and long-term residents. Perform bedside swallow evaluations and recommend appropriate diet textures. Collaborate with the nursing and dietary teams to ensure patient safety and nutritional health. Educate residents and family members on compensatory strategies and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Atmosphere and Environment Sheridan Medical Lodge is a 130-bed facility located in Burkburnett, just north of Wichita Falls. The therapy department features a spacious gym and access to modern modalities.
