Job Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLP collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings Provide skilled speech-language pathology services, including treatment for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation team members, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care planning conferences Ensure compliance with all professional standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered Skilled nursing facility (SNF) and/or long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of current speech-language pathology treatment practices Experience with electronic medical documentation systems preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Full-time, consistent schedule Comprehensive benefits package available for eligible employees Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education Apply today and become part of the exceptional rehabilitation team at Lutheran Sunset Home!
