Lakewest Rehab is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional in-house rehabilitation team in Dallas, Texas. Our therapy professionals are dedicated to providing person-centered care that helps residents improve communication, cognition, swallowing function, and overall quality of life. Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and provide skilled speech therapy services to residents with communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes through individualized therapy programs. Responsibilities Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs Provide skilled speech therapy interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function Perform bedside swallow evaluations and provide dietary and swallowing recommendations as appropriate Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically necessary Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on treatment goals, strategies, and home programs Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations Participate in care planning meetings and attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehabilitation Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care and professional standards Qualifications Active and valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist license Master's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of Net Health documentation system preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively manage patients with varying diagnoses and personalities Why Join Lakewest Rehab?
