This rewarding position offers the opportunity to deliver personalized, evidence-based speech therapy services that make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. You will work closely with patients across diverse age groups, especially pediatrics, to foster independence and improve quality of life through targeted interventions and compassionate care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide direct speech therapy sessions to patients in their homes, focusing on improving speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions. Implement early intervention strategies for pediatric patients, supporting developmental milestones and communication skills. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and effective therapy strategies. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to support ongoing improvement outside of therapy sessions. Skills Proven experience working with pediatric populations and familiarity with early intervention programs. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and evidence-based practices for diverse communication disorders. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and anatomy understanding. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs. Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare documentation standards. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating families about therapy goals.
