Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP- CCC) - Full-Time Goldthwaite Health & Rehabilitation Center | Goldthwaite, Texas Pay starting at $45 an hour and increases based on experience level. Goldthwaite Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting while working alongside experienced therapy and nursing professionals. Position Responsibilities Evaluate residents for swallowing, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and related functional deficits. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to maximize residents' independence, safety, and quality of life. Provide skilled speech-language pathology services in accordance with physician orders and established standards of practice. Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function. Educate residents, family members, caregivers, and facility staff regarding treatment goals, progress, and recommended strategies. Coordinate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care and treatment outcomes. Facilitate referrals and collaborate with specialists for instrumental swallowing assessments, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), as medically indicated. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, treatment records, and billing information. Monitor resident progress and communicate significant changes in condition to appropriate healthcare professionals. Respond promptly and professionally to resident and family concerns. Assist in training and supporting restorative nursing and direct care staff to promote continuity of care. Ensure resident rights, dignity, confidentiality, and safety are maintained at all times. Adhere to all applicable federal, state, local, and professional regulations governing speech-language pathology practice. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates may be considered. Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
