Job Description

Job Description This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. A Speech/Language Pathologist shall plan, direct and perform Speech/Language Pathology evaluations and care plans individualized to meet the need of each patient. Care plans shall be developed that promote restoration of function, restoration and/or development of language and cognitive skills, education of the patient and their families about rehabilitation principles, restoration and/or development of oral skills and swallowing function and interventions that restore communication skills. Responsibilities include the supervision of Speech/Language Pathology students, and volunteers. Speech/Language Pathologists also participate in scheduling of patient treatments, multidisciplinary care planning and patient education, and team support of other areas of service besides their assigned home department.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required, certification of clinical competency in
SLP Minimum Experience:
Required Certification:
BCLS within 3 months of date of hire
Required Licensure:
Texas License or temporary license is adequate with permanent license obtained by 6 months after date of hire
