Position Summary As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. You'll develop individualized treatment plans, educate residents and staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal resident outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on resident needs. Provide skilled therapy services aligned with medically necessary goals. Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies when appropriate. Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on treatment approaches and progress. Collaborate with physicians and team members to coordinate instrumental swallowing evaluations (e.g., MBSS, FEES). Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility and regulatory standards. Respond promptly to family inquiries and concerns. Train and support restorative nursing staff as needed. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards. Maintain resident confidentiality and dignity at all times. Qualifications Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license. ASHA Certification Good standing with all relevant licensing boards and agencies. Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or long-term care preferred. Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations. #IND2
