As soon as possible upon completion of all compliance and clearance requirements Position Description We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract opportunity in Terrell, Texas. In this role, you will provide specialized assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention services for patients experiencing communication and swallowing disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate swallowing function, develop individualized treatment plans, and work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary treatment teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive healthcare environment. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive swallowing assessments, performing ongoing patient re-evaluations, adjusting treatment plans as needed, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and facility standards. Requirements Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (required) Current and unrestricted Texas Speech Language Pathology license (required) Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Willingness to work in a mental health setting serving patients with complex behavioral and medical needs Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive swallowing and communication assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Perform ongoing patient evaluations and modify treatment plans as appropriate Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary treatment teams Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation Coordinate referrals to internal departments and outside providers when necessary Support compliance with facility policies, Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, and state regulations Monitor and maintain quality standards related to speech therapy services Additional Details Opportunity to work in a specialized behavioral health setting Contract length of at least 3 months with extension potential Must successfully complete drug screening, fingerprinting, background check, and facility onboarding requirements Must comply with all immunization, training, and facility clearance requirements prior to start date Collaborative environment with opportunities to support patients with diverse clinical needs #P1
