Job Description

School-Based Speech Language Pathologist for a 40‑week assignment in Amherst, Virginia. Compensation up to $65/hr with a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students to identify communication needs. Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and communication goals. Execute therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques and adaptive strategies. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and clinical activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program. State licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. CCC‑SLP certification. Current CPR certification. Minimum 1 year experience working in school‑based settings. Familiarity with IEP processes. Experience with diverse student populations. Ability to pass background checks and health screenings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to school schedules.
