Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding contract-to-hire opportunity supporting elementary students as both a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Occupational Therapist (OT). In this role, you'll have the chance to make a true difference by covering maternity leave vacancies through the end of May, collaborating with an encouraging educational team dedicated to student success. We're seeking professionals who bring expertise, compassion, and adaptability—whether you're looking for part-time, virtual (SLP only), or in-person roles. You'll work in a dynamic school setting that values innovation and student-centered care.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (for SLP role) or Occupational Therapy (for OT role) from an accredited program Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP or OT Familiarity with elementary-level intervention planning and IEP documentation Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with communication or mobility needs Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities Comfort with technology and virtual service delivery (required for virtual SLP candidates)
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students presenting speech, language, or occupational therapy needs Deliver direct and consultative services, both in-person and virtually (SLP only) Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation Collaborate with teachers, families, and other staff to ensure comprehensive support for student growth Provide insights and recommendations during IEP meetings
