Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Dumfries, VA, serving a school district with a focus on comprehensive case management and therapeutic services. This contract position offers a caseload primarily consisting of middle school students, with some elementary cases, providing a dynamic and rewarding professional experience in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to approximately 55 students from middle and elementary school levels. Manage caseload efficiently using a workload model, ensuring individualized support and intervention plans. Maintain detailed case documentation and participate actively in IEP meetings and planning. Collaborate with educational staff and participate in paid team meetings. Provide or receive necessary supervision in alignment with district protocols. Utilize district IEP systems with provided training and perform duties within dedicated therapy spaces.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SLP credentials, including CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Experience in school-based speech-language pathology. Ability to manage caseloads and document progress according to educational regulations. Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school personnel. Familiarity with educational therapeutic environments and IEP processes.
