Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology or Physical Therapy to a rewarding school-based contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Situated near Glasgow, VA, this flexible role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational and therapeutic journey of students while maintaining a balanced workweek. This opportunity features a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, allowing you to focus on individualized support and effective collaboration with educators and families. With a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, you'll have the flexibility to balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Physical Therapist (as appropriate) Recent experience working with pediatric or school-based populations Knowledge of relevant evaluation tools and therapy techniques Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education/therapy plans Provide speech-language or physical therapy services directly to students Track progress, manage student documentation, and participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for each student on your caseload This role is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful school-based experience with a commitment to student growth.
