Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to provide vital occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position is ideal for a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to foster student growth and independence within a supportive school-based setting. The schedule aligns with the academic calendar, providing built-in holidays, school breaks, and summers off.
What You'll Do:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and self-regulation skills for students with diverse needs. Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) and 504 plan goals, along with appropriate accommodations. Deliver direct therapy services, provide push-in support in classrooms, and offer teacher and family consultation. Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to maximize student outcomes. Adapt equipment, learning materials, and environments to enhance student independence and participation. Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress toward established goals.Qualifications:
Hold a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist (or be eligible for licensure). NBCOT certification is preferred. Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is advantageous. Familiarity with assistive technology and sensory integration strategies is a plus.
