In this flexible role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in children on site and in an outpatient setting. Your passion for patient care and strong knowledge of communcatove sciences and disorders will help foster optimal developmental outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while providing exceptional pediatric care. Hours are flexible and based upon the therapist availability. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing medical terminology and patient evaluation techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans targeting speech, language, voice, and fluency challenges in children. Implement therapy sessions focused on improving communication skills, early intervention strategies, and enhancing overall patient well-being. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and progress tracking. Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, therapy progress, and treatment outcomes in accordance with clinical standards. Educate families on speech therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies to support ongoing development outside of sessions. Stay current with advancements in pediatrics, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology to provide evidence-based care. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist. Prior experience working with pediatric population is highly preferred. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech functions. Demonstrated ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy and pediatric health conditions. Passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones through targeted therapy interventions.
