Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students during the 2026-2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Physical Therapist. Serve a close-knit group of 30 students, providing specialized services in a school-based setting near Lexington, VA. This part-time opportunity offers 15-20 hours per week, allowing you to create a positive impact with a manageable caseload and a flexible schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Current, valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience working with school-aged children or in an educational environment Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to develop and execute individualized treatment and intervention plans Commitment to fostering student success and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate student abilities through standardized assessments and determine eligibility for services Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other related service providers for holistic student support Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and compliance with school and state regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support the broader education and therapy team This contract position offers meaningful work, the flexibility to balance personal commitments, and the chance to make a lasting difference in students' lives.
