Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to elementary-aged children in an engaging educational setting. This contract-to-hire position is conveniently located near Prince George, VA, and offers a flexible, part-time schedule throughout the summer months—from June through the first week of August. Work just two days per week, with 5-6 hour sessions each day, for a total of 10-12 hours weekly, and enjoy a position that fits your lifestyle while making an immediate difference in students' communication and academic success.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology Experience with elementary-aged children preferred Strong assessment, therapy planning, and communication skills Comfortable working with students who do not use AAC devices
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary students Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student success Track student progress and maintain detailed progress notes and documentation Contribute to IEP development and participate in team meetings as needed This is an ideal assignment for a dedicated SLP looking for part-time work in a supportive school environment.
