Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) in a supportive academic environment near Richmond, VA. This part-time position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, providing you with a meaningful chance to shape student success while maintaining a balanced professional schedule. In addition to serving students directly, you'll have the unique responsibility of supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), fostering both student and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) Previous schools-based SLP experience preferred Experience or willingness to supervise and mentor an SLPA Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to create engaging and individualized therapy plansKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language services to students according to IEPs and school guidelines Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment strategies for students with communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress Supervise and guide the daily work of an SLPA, ensuring compliance with best practices Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with district and regulatory requirements Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team sessions as needed Make a lasting impact on students and develop your leadership skills by guiding an SLPA.
