1 Description American Traveler is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist with a VA license, CCC-SLP, and experience with adult medical populations for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA. Details Inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the 5th floor of the main hospital building 44-bed unit staffed by 2 speech therapists on day shift Patient caseload ratio of 1:8 to 1:10 Treats adult patients with multiple diagnoses including swallowing and speech-language disorders Equipment used includes MBS Suite, VitalStim, IOPI, EMST150, and Bioness BITs EMR system used for documentation Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Rotating weekend coverage required, approximately one shift per month May float to acute hospital units as needed Requirements Active Virginia SLP license (license required if applicable) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience with adult and medical populations required Must have worked in the role within the last 6 months US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required Neuro experience preferred Inpatient rehab experience preferred Additional Information Evaluate and treat patients with swallowing and speech-language disorders across multiple diagnoses Performs Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months Preferred personality traits include being patient-focused, team-oriented, and flexible Black scrub bottoms required; royal blue scrub tops preferred but other colors accepted
