Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position in Sandston, VA. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a diverse K-12 student population, combining pediatric and school-based caseloads. The position is structured around the academic calendar, offering a 36/27 school year schedule with a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services to students with speech and language disorders. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication development. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies. Adapt therapy approaches to address a broad range of communicative needs across the K-12 spectrum. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Experience working in school settings, particularly with mixed caseloads covering pediatrics. Ability to manage a caseload efficiently within a 37.5-hour workweek. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and commitment to the school year schedule.
