Now Hiring: Speech Language Therapist (SLP) Northern Virginia. Per diem, $200/Per visit

Job Summary:

1st Americare Home Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled speech Language Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in their homes. The RT will assess, treat, and educate patients with speech disorders, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and improved quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health settings, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Loudoun County, VA Fairfax County, VA Prince William County, VA Shenandoah County, VA Arlington County, VA Patient Care & Clinical Services:

Assess patients with respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, ventilator management, and other respiratory care interventions. Educate patients and caregivers on proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment and therapy adherence. Monitor patient progress, document assessments, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Perform pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and other diagnostic tests as required.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care. Provide recommendations on respiratory therapy interventions and equipment needs. Assist with hospital discharges by coordinating respiratory care services for transitioning patients to home care.

Compliance & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency policies and procedures related to respiratory therapy. Stay updated on the latest best practices, equipment, and treatment methods in respiratory care.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited program. Licensed Speech Therapist (SRT) in the state of [Insert State]. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience , preferably in home health, hospital, or long-term care settings. Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills to educate patients and caregivers effectively. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in home health or durable medical equipment (DME) settings. Familiarity with ventilator management in a home setting. BLS/CPR certification (required).
