Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work onsite as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Winchester, VA, where your expertise will help empower learners and foster meaningful progress. The position begins July 27th, 2026, and extends through May 28th, 2027, across a full academic year.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Virginia SLP license required
ASHA CCC-SLP
certification is preferred; highly qualified Clinical Fellows (CFYs) will also be considered Experience providing speech and language services in a school-based setting Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and evidence-based interventions Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to work exclusively onsite during assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings and comprehensive speech-language assessments for K-12 students Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address a variety of communication needs Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary educational teams Maintain detailed records of student progress and participation, complying with state and district guidelines Educate staff and families on strategies to support speech and language growth Adapt services to reflect best practices and evolving student needs This assignment offers a regular schedule of 37.5 hours per week, providing the chance to thrive in a collaborative school community and shape positive outcomes for students.
