Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2026-2027 school year in Yorktown, VA, to provide comprehensive communication services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position follows a school-based schedule aligned with the academic calendar, running from August 2026 through June 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in diverse pediatric populations Develop and implement IEP/504 goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Provide both direct and indirect therapy services tailored to individual student needs Monitor and document student progress meticulously Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student growth and academic success
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred Experience working with pediatric and school-based populations highly desired Skills in teletherapy, CFY, and familiarity with SLPA support roles are a plus
