Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Elevate your career as a Speech Language Pathologist by supporting students from preschool through 6th grade during the full 2026-2027 academic year. In this contract position, you will deliver in-person services and make a meaningful impact working closely with children who have special education needs. Reporting to the Director of Special Education, you will collaborate with dedicated professionals in a welcoming, dynamic school environment.
Key Requirements:
Active Washington SLP License Demonstrated commitment to students with special education needs and their families Background in assessment, evaluation, and consultation In-depth understanding of the special education process, procedures, and disability categories Experience with early learning and atypical impairments is a plus Strong interpersonal skills—build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners Ability to plan, organize, and implement all stages of special education identification Excellent communicator who incorporates fun, humor, and lightheartedness into the workplace
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech and language services in a school-based setting (Pre-K to 6th grade) Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Offer consultation and support to staff and families Foster a positive and inclusive environment for student growth Enjoy the advantages of a competitive pay package based on your credentials, as well as comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) options, and travel stipends for eligible applicants.
