Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real impact in students' lives in a supportive school environment located near beautiful Lakewood, WA. Utilize your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality services to a diverse student population. This is a contract position with consistent daytime hours—student in-person days only, totaling 37.5 hours per week—offering the chance to focus your skills during the school year in a collaborative atmosphere.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Active WA State Dept of Health SLP License Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) WA State SLP ESA certification Valid Washington State Driver's License or proof of reliable mobility Successful completion of fingerprinting and clearances from WSP, FBI, and sexual misconduct registry Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as well as experienced SLPs Strong pediatric assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and diagnostic services for students with a variety of speech-language needs Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate on IEPs with families and school staff Maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state requirements Consult with teachers and participate in student support meetings Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in the field Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for students to thrive This opportunity allows you to work closely with educators and families, seeing tangible progress in your students' communication skills.
