Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with K-12 students in a vibrant and supportive school setting near Port Orchard, WA. This full-time in-person assignment spans the entire 2026-2027 academic year, from late August through mid-June. Engage with students across grade levels, providing vital speech and language services that make a meaningful difference in their academic and personal growth. You'll collaborate closely with educators and other professionals, contributing your skills to help shape successful learning experiences. A commitment to in-person support is essential, as remote and virtual options are not considered.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Active Washington State SLP license Prior experience serving students in a school environment is highly valued Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, adapting approaches to meet diverse K-12 needs Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student success in the classroom Stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements in school-based speech therapy This contract position suits professionals who thrive in collaborative, dynamic school environments and are passionate about making a difference with students.
