Speech Language Pathologist in Port Orchard, WA Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Port Orchard, WA Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $85 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Student caseload management Caseload management Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students for the 2026-2027 school year near Port Orchard, WA. Several full-time roles are open for dedicated speech-language pathologists, including one .7 position, with all placements requiring direct, in-person support. You'll work with a diverse student population, fostering meaningful growth in communication and learning skills. Your expertise as a SLP-CCC with school-based experience will be essential for managing caseloads ranging from approximately 48 to 60 students and collaborating closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals to create individualized plans that make a real impact.
Qualifications & Skillset:
Active Washington SLP License Educational Staff Associate (ESA) credential Completion of fingerprinting through OSPI Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Prior experience in a school setting or with K-12 age groups Ability to manage varied caseloads with strong organizational skills Clear, compassionate communicator to engage with students, staff, and caregivers
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy for a diverse K-12 student body Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and related documentation Conduct speech and language assessments Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Maintain accurate records and comply with federal and state guidelines Adapt interventions to meet the individual needs of each student You'll be welcomed into a supportive and collegial environment that values your specialized skills.
