Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise and passion for supporting student growth to a thriving educational community near Tacoma, WA! Two exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists who hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC). Dive into a fully supportive school environment where you can truly make a difference. Opportunity 1: Commit to the entire 2026-2027 school year, working with a dedicated caseload of 45 students at an engaged elementary school. Shape the academic experience from September 1, 2026, through June 17, 2027, following a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:40 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. (7 hours daily with a 30-minute lunch break). Opportunity 2: If you prefer a shorter-term role, provide vital coverage during a maternity leave from September through January (with potential extension) at another elementary school. Enjoy the same weekly schedule and caseload, focusing on continuity of care for your students during this key transitional period. What You'll Need to
Bring:
Current SLP-CCC credential (Washington State licensure required) Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Commitment to providing individualized and group therapy sessions Ability to complete documentation in accordance with school and state requirements Passion for partnering with families, educators, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language services for a diverse caseload of approximately 45 students Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Maintain detailed progress notes and ensure documentation is timely and accurate Foster an inclusive and positive classroom experience This is a rewarding chance to be an integral part of students' learning journeys.
