Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting children's communication and developmental needs in an engaging, school-based setting. This full-time contract opportunity allows speech-language pathologists to provide vital services to students while enjoying the variety and flexibility of working in educational environments near Tenino, WA. Ideal candidates will be passionate about helping children achieve their communication goals and thrive within collaborative school communities. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with children, teachers, and families to address diverse speech and language challenges, tailoring interventions to meet each student's unique needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or be a Clinical Fellow (CFY) Washington state licensure or eligibility required Previous experience working in pediatric, healthcare, or school settings strongly preferred Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Collaborative spirit and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environmentKey Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders Provide direct therapy services and consultation to students individually or in small groups Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams This contract position brings the satisfaction of helping students succeed while offering professional growth and the chance to work alongside motivated educational teams.
