Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year in Bayfield, WI. This on-site, contract position is ideal for a licensed professional with experience in school-based speech therapy services. The role offers the opportunity to work directly within a school environment, supporting students' communication development and enhancing their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy assessments and interventions tailored to K-12 students. Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student success. Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SLP certification and licensure with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Prior experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred. Strong knowledge of child development, speech disorders, and educational standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work alongside students, families, and school personnel. Ability to work on-site full time during the school year.
