Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic healthcare environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing communication and swallowing abilities for patients with diverse needs. This contract opportunity centers on delivering high-quality therapy services in a hospital setting, working collaboratively with other professionals to drive exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract position Flexible scheduling may be available (as determined by facility needs)Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current licensure as an SLP (or eligibility) Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities Proficient documentation and organizational skills Familiarity with patient/insurance documentation processes a plusKey Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide targeted therapy for speech, language, and swallowing disorders Prepare and maintain patient documentation, including evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries Collaborate with nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service staff to deliver patient-centered care plans Educate hospital staff on evaluation results and current best practices, including creating in-service presentations Communicate with insurance providers regarding patient benefits and authorizations Ensure treatment rooms are prepared and properly maintained Provide reminders and assist patients and families with hospital navigation Contribute to quality care through additional duties as needed This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient recovery and quality of life within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
