Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract This position involves assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders to improve patients' communication abilities and swallowing safety. Responsibilities:

Conduct direct patient care by assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Complete thorough patient documentation such as evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Communicate with insurance companies regarding patient benefits. Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions to ensure effective therapy. Educate interdisciplinary staff—including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers—on evaluation results and recommendations informed by current research. Develop and deliver in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff. Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered treatment plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms. Provide reminder calls to patients and assist patients and families in navigating the hospital system. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with relevant clinical experience. Familiarity with hospital and healthcare therapy settings. Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Knowledge of current practices in speech, language, and swallowing disorder treatment.
