Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract Empower individuals to improve their communication and swallowing abilities in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Speech Therapist in a hospital setting, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating a range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders to enhance the quality of life for your patients.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Experience providing therapy in a hospital or healthcare environment Solid understanding of evidence-based speech, language, and swallowing disorder interventions Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and manage patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders Document each patient interaction, including evaluations, care plans, progress updates, and discharge summaries Communicate with insurance companies to clarify patient benefits as needed Prepare thoroughly for evaluation and treatment sessions Deliver education to colleagues—such as nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers—related to your findings and recommendations Develop and present in-service education and training Coordinate care with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure integrated treatment for each patient Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms post-session Make reminder calls to patients and assist patients and families in navigating the hospital setting Support the team and facility through additional duties as requested Step into a rewarding clinical environment where your expertise, empathy, and teamwork will help patients reach their communication and swallowing goals.
