Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role serving students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year as a full-time, in-person Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents in a supportive school environment near Hedgesville, WV. The position is focused entirely onsite for the full school year, providing consistency and hands-on support that virtual services can't match.
Qualifications and Preferred Background:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure) in West Virginia Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) will be considered Previous school-based experience strongly favored Skilled in pediatric assessment, intervention, and documentation Comfortable working with a diverse caseload across various age groups SLPA supervision experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in a school setting Assess students to identify communication disorders and implement appropriate interventions Develop, update, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Provide guidance and supervision to SLPA staff as needed Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to student evaluations and meetings
