Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in students' lives while advancing your experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive and dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity allows you to apply your passion for communications support in schools, collaborating with both educational teams and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality therapy to children.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA license and certification, meeting all state and national standards Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred Familiarity with developing and executing therapy plans under supervision of a licensed SLP Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families Ability to maintain organized documentation and follow regulatory guidelines Team-oriented mindset and commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Implement prescribed speech-language therapy programs for students, guided by supervising SLPs Support the assessment process by gathering data, assisting with screenings, and documenting progress Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom Monitor and record student performance, adjusting support based on individualized education plans (IEPs) Communicate with parents and guardians, providing regular updates and resources as needed Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing supervision sessions
