Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Job Summary:
AZ Pediatric Therapy is seeking qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants to join our growing therapist-owned home-health agency. Therapists must possess strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be able to work independently, excel in time management, and have a play-based approach to therapy.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide direct treatment to children and adults with disabilities who have a variety of speech and language disorders Document client progress toward meeting established treatment plans or protocols developed by supervising SLP Document client performance (ex: tallying data for the SLP to use, preparing charts, records, and graphs) and reports this information within daily SOAP notes in consultation with supervising SLP Complete and submit Quarterly Progress Reports to supervising SLP in a timely manner Monitor progress and collaborate with supervising SLP to adjust goals as needed Assist with creating home programs for families Collaborate with other service providers and state workers as needed Check in with supervising SLP on a weekly basis Program and provide instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices Participates in educational programs as requested Perform related duties and responsibilities as required under state-mandated supervision Experience with home health preferred but not required Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants must be licensed in the State of Arizona, have at least three months experience as an SLPA (required), experience working in home based care preferred, experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, experience with augmentative and alternative communication devices preferred, and must have basic knowledge of EMR documentation systems and professional documentation skills.
Required Licenses/Certification:
Valid Arizona State Speech-Language Pathologist Assistance License CPR Certification Article 9 Certification (or willing to obtain) Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card Valid Driver's License and insurance policy
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully preform the essential functions of this job. Therapists are regularly required to sit on the floor, walk to and from their vehicle, and drive from home to home. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
