Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting PreK through 1st grade students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This position offers the chance to make a direct impact on young learners while collaborating closely with educators and families. The assignment runs from July 31, 2026, to May 21, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLPA licensure (state requirements must be current) Experience working with school-aged children, preferably ages 3-7 Understanding of speech and language development in early learners Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage a caseload of up to 25 students efficiently Commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language support to PreK, kindergarten, and 1st grade students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic activities Document student progress and session notes accurately Participate in team meetings and contribute input on student progress Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals Adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of students within the caseload This role is ideal for someone seeking a structured, full-time contract position in a friendly school community.
