We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract opportunity near Tucson, AZ, where you will collaborate with educators and speech-language pathologists to help students access their education and reach important milestones.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Arizona Previous school-based experience or strong interest in working with children and adolescents Knowledge of communication disorders and familiarity with IEP processes Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with students, teachers, and families Strong organizational skills and attention to detailResponsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP, both in individual and small group settings Implement prescribed treatment plans and interventions targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication Assist with documentation, data collection, and progress reporting to support IEP goals Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student progress Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities to engage diverse learners Support classroom staff in implementing communication strategies Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district, state, and federal regulations This contract role offers the chance to build your professional skills while making a meaningful difference in a supportive school setting.
