Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)! Provide vital speech and language support across a range of school sites in an itinerant capacity, making a meaningful difference in the lives of students. This hands-on position offers you the opportunity to amplify students' communication abilities, collaborate with diverse school teams, and play a key part in achieving positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification School-based SLPA experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of speech and language development in children and adolescents Ability to travel between sites as part of an itinerant assignment Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Collaborative approach to working with educators, therapists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language support services to students in accordance with IEPs and supervisor direction Implement therapy activities, assist with screenings, and collect data under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and staff to support student progress Document student performance, maintain records, and assist in the preparation of reports Participate in team meetings, contribute to interventions, and foster a positive learning environment Travel between assigned school sites as needed throughout the school year You'll make an impact across school communities while developing your professional skills in a dynamic educational setting.
