Job Description

About the Employer The Byron Union School District is a TK - 8 district located in Byron, CA with approximately 1,200 students and 180+ staff members, with two elementary schools and one middle school serving the communities of Byron and Discovery Bay. The district also offers an independent study program (Byron Institute of Independent Study) serving grades K-8. The Byron Union School District is committed to providing all students with an exemplary education, striving for excellence. Job Summary Under the direct, immediate or indirect supervision of a credentialed or licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), to assist or facilitate while a SLP is evaluating the speech and/or language of students; to treat identified students following the treatment plan developed by the SLP; to assist in directing student treatment activities and maintaining a proper learning environment; to assist with the preparation and administration of treatment materials; to perform a variety of assistant tasks; and to do other related work as required.
