Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential speech and language services to K-6 students in a vibrant, supportive educational setting. This contract role offers you the chance to make a true difference by supporting learners with mild to moderate needs, working closely with a dedicated SLP supervisor, and serving a diverse bilingual community. As a vital member of the school-based team, you'll work 35 hours per week assisting with a manageable caseload averaging 55 students. Your ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is essential, as you'll be delivering services and support to students from a variety of backgrounds. The school values your expertise and offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $50 to $55, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Key Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
  • Previous experience—at least one full school year in a school-based setting as an SLPA
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-6) with mild to moderate needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct speech-language services under the supervision of a certified SLP
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Support data collection and progress monitoring for assigned caseload
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs
