Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting local elementary students with a high SPED (Special Education) population as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) near Modesto. With a weekly commitment of 35 hours, you'll play a vital role in helping students develop essential communication skills within an encouraging school environment. Your expertise in both school and healthcare settings will be highly valued as you collaborate closely with supervising SLPs and fellow educators. You'll provide direct intervention using evidence-based practices, track student progress, and contribute your insight to IEP teams, directly impacting young learners' growth and confidence.
Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or certification in California Previous experience in school and/or healthcare settings preferred Comfort working with elementary-aged students, especially those in SPED programs Strong communication and teamwork skills Understanding of evidence-based speech-language strategies
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support a diverse elementary caseload, addressing individual IEP goals Accurately document services and progress notes Foster positive rapport with students, staff, and families Participate in meetings and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Adapt intervention approaches to suit varied learning needs You'll step into a collaborative school culture, enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, and build relationships with children and colleagues who appreciate your dedication.
