Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and mobility within an engaging school environment. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create empowering experiences for children. Your expertise will help students reach their fullest potential by improving motor skills and fostering independence in the classroom setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current state license or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school-based or similar settings Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and how therapy integrates with academic goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families Comfort adapting activities and interventions to various age and developmental levels Proficiency in documentation and progress reporting
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, tailored to students' needs and IEP goals Monitor and record students' progress, providing clear feedback to therapists, faculty, and parents Participate in the development and implementation of therapy plans, using creative approaches to maximize student engagement Assist with evaluations, gather data, and help modify interventions to promote optimal outcomes Educate staff and families regarding equipment, strategies, and exercises to reinforce progress outside of direct sessions Maintain accurate records and adhere to school and legal guidelines for confidentiality and practice Perks of the
