ASAP Position Summary:
Perfect job for parents and/or therapists looking to make a few extra dollars! We are a start-up company passionate about communication for all. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention/Pediatric Speech Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with toddlers (ages 0-3) experiencing speech, language, or communication delays. As an Early Intervention SLPA, you will provide individualized therapy and support to help young children develop essential communication skills, ensuring they reach their full potential. If interested, additional sessions to support school-aged and older children for general speech-language therapy needs, in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Individualized Planning:
    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IFSPs) based on assessment results, family input, and best practices in early intervention.
  • Therapeutic Intervention:
    Provide direct speech and language therapy services in a variety of settings, including homes and community environments.
  • Family Collaboration:
    Work closely with families to educate and empower them to support their child's speech and language development. Provide training and resources to caregivers.
  • Interpersonal Communication:
    Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills by effectively engaging with children, families, and team members. Build trusting relationships through clear, compassionate, and culturally sensitive communication.
  • Flexible Scheduling:
    Offer flexible hours based on your availability to accommodate the needs of clients and their families. Provide therapy services in-home to clients to ensure convenience and comfort.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, interventions, progress notes, and communications. Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Compliance:
    Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations, including those pertaining to early intervention programs and special education services.
Professional Development:
Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology and early intervention. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • at least an Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid CA state license
  • Experience in early intervention or pediatric speech therapy, with a focus on children ages 0-3.
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and early childhood development.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of clients, including the ability to provide in-home therapy sessions.
  • Bilingual skills (preferred, but not required).
