Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract position supporting elementary students in their communication development. This full-time opportunity focuses on providing speech and language services to approximately 35 students, delivered individually or in small groups according to each student's specific needs and goals. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a key role in implementing direct therapy services, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of student data and progress notes. Working closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll help monitor, assess, and advance students' progress.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or credential School-based experience preferred, but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills Competence in documenting, organizing, and maintaining confidential student records Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and supervising Speech-Language Pathologist Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude towards making a difference for young learners
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language services to students according to their IEP goals Implement activities and interventions designed by the supervising SLP Collect, record, and track data on student performance and progress Consult regularly with classroom teachers and the SLP to align services with academic goals Adapt sessions as needed to meet individual or small group needs Participate in team meetings to update on student progress This is a 40-hour per week role, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, designed for professionals seeking meaningful work within a supportive educational environment.
