Early Intervention Specialist & Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Job Description About Inclusive Kids Inclusive Kids is a play-based early intervention provider supporting children ages birth to 3 and their families across San Diego and Fresno County. We use a family-centered, routines-based approach to help children build communication, social-emotional, and developmental skills through meaningful, everyday interactions. Position Overview We are seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Early Intervention Infant Educator and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our San Diego team. This role provides home-based early intervention and/or speech therapy services to infants and toddlers (ages 0-3) and their caregivers. Services are delivered in the child's natural environment and focus on coaching families through play and daily routines. This position is ideal for someone who is: Highly independent and self-motivated Strong in building relationships with families Passionate about play-based learning and early development Key Responsibilities Provide early intervention and/or speech therapy services in home and community settings Use a play-based, routines-based, and caregiver coaching approach Support development in areas such as communication, social-emotional skills, and early learning Collaborate with families to embed strategies into daily routines Travel between client homes throughout San Diego County Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Early Start/regional center requirements Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications Required:
Bilingual in Spanish and English Both of the following: Background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Infant Educator) Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California Experience working with children ages birth to 3 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Pass Background Check Physical Requirements Ability to sit on the floor, squat, kneel, and engage in play for extended periods Ability to lift and carry materials/equipment as needed Comfortable working in a variety of home environments What We're Looking For Someone who connects easily with families and builds trust A provider who follows the child's lead through play A team member who is organized, dependable, and adaptable Someone who thrives in a flexible, community-based role Why Join Inclusive Kids?
