In this vital role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to a diverse population, including children and adolescents. Your expertise will help foster effective communication skills, improve speech and language development, and enhance overall quality of life for your clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in various settings such as schools, clinics, and acute care environments, making a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs Support therapy sessions focused on speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders for pediatric and adolescent populations Work closely with children in early intervention programs, schools, or clinical settings to promote communication development Monitor client progress and document observations accurately to inform ongoing therapy strategies Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive care plans and ensure consistent support Maintain a safe and engaging environment during therapy sessions while adhering to all safety protocols Support the administration of assessments and gather data related to speech and language performance Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred Knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech and swallowing disorders Familiarity with early intervention programs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) process Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques across diverse populations including pediatrics and school-aged students Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, educators, and healthcare teams Basic knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and physiological processes involved in communication Experience working within acute care or school environments is a plus but not mandatory Relevant certifications or licensure as a Speech Pathologist Assistant or equivalent are highly desirable Join us in empowering individuals through improved communication!
