Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant working with school-aged students. In this onsite role, you'll play a vital part in enhancing communication skills and supporting language development under the direct supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. This opportunity is ideal for candidates eager to make a difference in an educational setting while advancing their professional journey.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or completion of an SLPA associate's program Active SLPA license or certification Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities Experience handling high-stress situations and collaborating with staff, students, and parents Willingness and ability to travel between multiple school sites during the day Commitment to onsite work (virtual options unavailable)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services in accordance with assigned students' IEPs Collaborate with SLPs and educational teams to develop and implement effective therapy plans Maintain comprehensive documentation and assist with progress tracking Serve as a resource for students and families, providing communication support and strategies Adhere to assigned schedules, including guaranteed hours for both direct and indirect services
