Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and make a direct impact supporting students in an educational setting. This onsite, contract position offers you the chance to foster communication skills among young learners, working closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and educators. Your expertise and dedication will help students overcome speech and language challenges, equipping them for greater success both in and out of the classroom. Key Qualifications Valid SLPA license or certification Previous experience working in school settings Confidence providing speech and language support under the supervision of an SLP Strong interpersonal abilities for working with students, staff, and families Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative mindset Role Responsibilities Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy sessions to small groups or individuals Prepare materials and activities based on students' individualized education plans (IEPs) Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation Support classroom teachers with strategies for facilitating students' communication skills Participate in school team meetings as needed Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment where every student can thrive Enjoy predictable work-life balance with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, four-hour days—perfect for professionals seeking flexibility in their workweek.
